I know a place in the very heart of the forest.
A sacred grove covers the gate into the hidden woodland realm.
None but a chosen few can find the paths that lie in twilight, the twisting trails of moss and fern, of mist and morning dew.
If you enjoy the friendship of the seasons and learned to listen to the trees,
I will guide you to an ancient place where time does not exist
and no man’s hand has ever spoiled the earth.
Where Mother Nature resides
in every tiny twig, in every silent leaf, in every drop of silver rain
there is my home.
Jordan Vauvert
Gaerea's first release of "Unsettling Whispers" was in 2018, and since, they dared define a "black metal" niche of their own, they dared to walk a new path and stir shit up a bit in the realm of BM, this album is a masterpiece and a milestone proving that it can be done, provided the band can pull it off, and they did, oh they did! Gloomy, dark, post-BM sludgy whatever, it's Gaerea, and this one belongs in my BC collection, the end. sachavonkarl74
The harrowing black metal from this Olympia, WA artist demolishes like a typhoon—a whirling, threatening cloud of sound. Bandcamp New & Notable Feb 6, 2023
More bleak, enveloping atmospheric black metal from the masters at the Vendetta label, “aevum” is both harrowing & strangely beautiful. Bandcamp New & Notable Sep 30, 2019
What an impressive piece of black metal. This one-man hurricane is pure art. Sgah‘gahsowáh creates an haunting atmosphere. He puts so much soul in his music. Sælzer Bub
